Grasshoppers invade - No garden again this year
Like the Ants before. We are invaded with grasshoppers again this year.
They eat eveything, even the roses. Can anyone help?

Grasshopper control options
I just did a search on Garden Web and there seems to be a lot of conversation about the grasshopper problem and what people are doing about it.
You did not state if you have room for something like chickens to eat the little buggers or if you have other options in mind.
Anyway, Gardenweb dot com is a great family for gardening. Good luck with the little munchers.

anti grasshopper
there are pesticides, but if not your thing try BT powder, a bacteria that works in insects, also I have heard that fire ant bait will work but have not confirmed. might be worth a try

Grasshoppers.
We went to our local feed store - there's a commercial product out there that protects gardens, plants, and trees from being completely eaten by these critters.... It's called Tempo (small bottle, white liquid, works up to 2 months unless it rains, then you'll have to spray again... requires a very small amount to work. We put 4ml into a 4 gallon sprayer and grasshoppers were gone or dead within 10 minutes.... This is not a joke - 10 minutes max. I sprayed 5 acres on a saturday evening before sunset, Sunday morning - not a single jumper around. One thing you need to be aware of - do not spray where bees or hummingbirds thrive - they won't come back... Other down side - its cost - small 7 oz bottle cost us 54$... That hurt initially - but the results were worth it. You decide - you research - we only found this to be the solution for our north texas area... You may find something that works better in yours.... Good luck...
