for mac users who can not login to chat, there is another JAVA update that you may need to install. If you click on the apple in that dropdown menu there will be a software update tab, click on that, when it finishes the search, click view details, any update that you do not want to install uncheck them. VERY IMPORTANT: when it finishes eventhough it does not indicate that it needs to be done you may have to reboot so it runs right.
