GHI Ministries Update: Incredible day of ministry. Most of the disaster relief agencies are beginning to scale back - emphasis on insurance adjusters, contractors and restoration crews. We are characterized as the 7-11 of relief centers... Large items and clothing we are currently shifting to one of two churches. More and more folks are coming directly to us for tools, hygiene and convenience items, food and beverages, so we have been ramping up our camp to handle more. All remaining water and supplies in the corporate relief areas are being transferred to us, as we are the ONLY center operating 24/7.

We've developed a close alliance with the NYFD folks - incredible vitality to contribute - "payback" in their words. wonderful relationships are being built, with many and varied doors being opened to serve.

Concrete parking lots are not the ideal place to set up a tent. Facing a few days of threatening weather, but the plan is to button down the tent and ride it out. Hearts are being touched and lives are being influenced. Glory to God!
